For Leaders

Volunteer leaders with Ray in Lourdes

We thought it might be a good plan to have a page of resources and ideas for all of the youth workers in the diocese, and especially for those running youth groups in parishes. This is a page we need to develop far far more (suggestions welcome) but for the time being, here are some general points of information as well as some handy resources on the web.

DIOCESAN CONTACTS

Ray Mooney is the adviser for youth ministry in the diocese. His contact details can be found on the left hand side of the site further down. Ray is the person to talk to if you need help and advise regarding setting up youth groups or anything else to do with working with young people.

Ray is part of the Diocesan Pastoral Team which has numerous advisors working on different areas of life in the Church. This page gives more details about the pastoral team, including how to get in touch with the various advisors.

THE ELI PERSPECTIVE
the eli perspective is a course for youth leaders run by the diocese. More details can be found on the eli perspective page.

SAFEGUARDING ISSUES

The diocese has a safeguarding officer who is Philip Wright who should be contacted if you have any queries in this regard. All of the details can be found on this page of the main diocesan site.

LOURDES

Any questions regarding the Lourdes Youth Service Group (AKA the Redshirts) should be addressed to Ray. Any queries about the main pilgrimage, including the family group should be directed to the Lourdes Pilgrimage Office in Storrington 01903 745180. The main pilgrimage also has a website which has a lot of information.
