Our youth service website has had a bit of a Facelift lately. Well, actually, facelift is probably the wrong term, because it looks the same. What we have done though is tweak a few vital things under the bonnet to make it run a bit more smoothly an to help you to connect with the Youth Service a bit more easily. Here’s a quick run-through…

As well as our Twitter feed on the left hand side of the page, we now also have a feed from our new Facebook page. We are currently rolling the old Facebook group into a new Facebook page which has more functionality. When we post anything on the page it will now (thanks to Social Media links) appear automatically on Twitter, on here and on your own Facebook newsfeed, assuming you’ve clicked the ‘like’ button – which you can now do on here or on Facebook.

We have also replaced our comments system with an integrated system from DISQUS. This means that you can now comment on this site using your login from other sites, like Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, OpenID and others. You can also still post simply by entering a name and E-mail address as before.

This means that if you post using your Facebook login then others can link up with you on Facebook as well as on yaab. There is a DISQUS box on the left hand side of this page, which shows you who has been saying what.
